Already beautiful, The Spa at Hyatt Regency Coolum has re-opened after a $4.2 million facelift.
Guests of the hotel can now enjoy a combination of luxury and nature as they receive a soothing massage, pedicures, manicures or other treatments. The Hyatt Regency sits at the base of Mount Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.
The Spa has 18 treatment rooms, most with outdoor courtyards. They are complemented by dedicated indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, an outdoor unisex spa, manicure, pedicure and hair stations, and lavish men's and ladies' lounges with a steam room, sauna, relaxation lounge and outside access to the pools.
A new mezzanine-level gym features the latest gym equipment, plasma-screen TVs and weight stations. The 25 metre lap pool and separate aquacise pool provides a complete health and fitness component to The Spa.
"We have created a facility that offers everything you would expect of a destination spa with a focus on nature and the natural surrounds of Coolum," said Maurice Holland, General Manager.
The grounds and landscaping surrounding The Spa highlight indigenous plants similar to those found around the resort. The elegant, yet inviting, interior offers a balance of small, delicate rooms and large, open spaces, featuring copper, timber and natural stone that blend seamlessly with the landscaped gardens beyond.
Adding another fresh dimension to the refurbishment is the leading brands that will be available at The Spa. Hyatt Regency Coolum will be the only spa in Queensland offering Carita as its signature face, body and hair product. Jane Iredale make-up will complete the cosmetics bar, combining the most up-to-date colours with skin-care benefits.
"Every aspect of the refurbished spa has been carefully planned, from the materials used to the landscaping and the world class products that will be available. The Spa will exceed the expectations of even the most avid spa-goer," added Holland.
