In our recent poll asking people about what they love about living in Brisbane, we thought our weather would be a drawcard. We had no idea though that our sunny clime would romp ahead of all the other great reasons to live here and attract over 50% of the votes.
The abundance of sunshine gives 53% of people enough reason to choose Brisbane above all other places to live. Mild winters and a sub-tropical lifestyle is a feature that Brisbane residents obviously love and want to keep enjoying.
However, the amazing collection of Brisbane's festivals and the arts scene attracted just over 20% of the votes too. Combine good weather with festivals and it's no wonder Brisbane has such a full calendar of outdoor events.
And the opportunity to raise our families in Brisbane as a safe, healthy place snared the votes of almost 10%.
Being a cultured, family-friendly city with the bonus of brilliant weather is the reason so many of us love where we live.
