A cool afternoon music session competed with one of Brisbane’s biggest free events to scrape in to the coveted number one spot for penny pinchers.
This hotly contested poll was our most hard fought, polarising voters between the big firework display of Riverfire and the music and comedy junkies who love Live Spark and Livewired at Brisbane Powerhouse every Sunday - a lot.
Just four votes out of more than 1600 meant that Brissie’s own Powerhouse Sundays wear the crown as our best freebie. They achieved, with a little help from their loyal friends, 26.96% of the votes and Riverfire’s popularity exploded with 26.72%. How close can you get?
Another standout freebie was Brisbane’s fine selection of free movies. Over 20% of people love free movies the most. Who wouldn’t?
