Cavorting in a park beside the river won this poll, asking for your favourite Brisbane River experience. Over 28% of people liked enjoying riverside parks more than any other way to appreciate our waterway.
This probably is no great surprise, with the majority of votes for Brisbane’s best park going to those that are beside the water.
Dining at riverfront cafes and restaurants was the next more popular experience, with riverfront dining scoring 21% of votes.
A simple pleasure of ‘enjoying the view’ snared over 16% and that’s not bad for something that costs nothing and can be done at hundreds of locations along the river’s winding path. Perhaps we could have included that in the poll for Brisbane’s best freebie?
Just under 3% of voters have had the pleasure of waterfront living… Wouldn’t that be nice?
