It's official, it's declared, it's (not quite) unanimous... Brisbane parents reckon a trip to the park is their favourite place to take the kids for fun.
Mums and Dads love the green open spaces, excellent playgrounds and room for kids to be kids, plus it's always free and never fails to please. Over 35% of voters picked parks as the top spot. But not all parks are created equal so take a look at which park Brisbane people have voted is the very best.
Swimming pools came in second but perhaps this might have scored a few more votes if the poll was taken in the midst of a long, hot Brisbane summer.
Animal sanctuaries and zoo were the surprise third place getter, attracting 18% of votes.
Interestingly, free attractions such as skateboard bowls, libraries, art galleries and museums and parks made up the majority of top kids' places. Wise parents know it doesn't have to cost a lot to keep kids amused.
