It's that little piece of paradise, tucked away on one of the South East's most idyllic islands. A picture of pure tranquillity - a celebration of our Aussie beach and bush.
And the best thing? It's all right here on our very own back door step. It's Couran Cove - South Stradbroke Island's answer to the perfect getaway, no matter the season.
The resort is a cruisey 35-minute boat ride from Hope Island Harbour, about 40 minutes from Brisbane and 20 minutes from Surfers Paradise. It costs around $47 for adults return, kids are $25.
But according to General Manager Scott Hayden, no matter whether it's a week or just the day - be prepared to wear yourself out.
They have batting cages, golf nets, shuffle boards, table tennis, basketball and volley ball courts, putt-putt, gym equipment, even a low and high ropes course - and plenty more!
But with over 1100 bikes to choose from and 60 kilometres of tracks to explore, one of the best and most popular ways to see the island, and to get some exercise in, is on two wheels.
For the nature lovers, nature man Todd Burrows says the island is full of scenic spots, from ocean views, to the sub tropical rainforest walk, even the local wildlife.
"We've propagated about 300 to 400,000 native plants which have been used for re-vegetation and landscaping on the property", says Todd.
And even when it's a little cooler, at Couran Cove the water sports never stop - from activities in the heated pools, to letting loose on the open water.
While day trippers are more than welcome, the resort also offers four types of accommodation - the largest sleeping groups of up to eight.
Dining in or out is also up to you. For the budget minded - you can BYO everything you want, and wine and dine in your room.
Otherwise - why not indulge at the bar for early evening drinks and enjoy the service in one of the three restaurants? But one thing's for sure... after a good night's sleep there's little doubt you'll be ready to do it all over again!
