Early Dinner Sat 11th Oct 08. Beautiful setting on the River.
We sampled a few Tapas. The stuffed Zucchini Flowers were remarkably good. A couple of meat ones just a bit boring. For $18, we expected a bit more flair ( see Movida Melbourne !! ) Pizzas unbelievable. Made me feel I was back in Italy. Surely nothing better in Brisbane now. Thin, crispy and top quality toppings.
Service from our Italian waiter was fantastic, sad to say not many home-grown waitstaff have his charm,professionalism and attentiveness thesedays. Floor manager,however, just sadly lacking any charm or finesse at all. Just didn't seem to belong there ( or want to be there ?? ).
Overall a great experience and a modern flexible concept. Really hope they find a great floor manager in time.
We watched some people just call in for Tapas or a quick pasts. Others like us, stayed for 2 1/2 hours. So..lots of options. We'll be back soon to try the Saltimbocca which looks great! Great work Gianni ...we now have a new favourite in Brisbane.
