afourie from Brisbane CBD says:

Having visited the Punjabi Palace on a couple of occassions we were very disappointed with our recent encounter (30th Sept). All began well, but the service and attendance of the wait staff declined rapidly. We were ignored and had to ask for our order to be taken. When the drinks did eventually arrive there were no glasses to go with them. The attitude of our server made us feel uncomfortable, as if we were some peice of low life he had found stuck on his shoe. When we enquired about the dishes we were told to read the menu. The food quality was very good and this has not changed but the sauce to accompany the lamb was forgotten at the edge of the table leaving my friend to enjoy a large plate of dry lamb peices. It was only when he had a few more mouthfuls left that the wait staff informed us that it should accompany his dish. By this time we were feeling very put out and asked for the bill, only to be forgotton again for another 20 minutes. When the bill did finally arrive it included multiple items that had been forgotton with the order..pampadoms, drinks etc. All in all, a very frustrating experience and not one we will be repeating or recommending to others.

i went to 'punjabi palace' for a friend's birthday a little while ago and was also very disappointed by the service we received. the restaurant was full of diners but there seemed to be a lot of wait staff working. the staff simply ignored us until we finally flagged someone down and asked to order. the food was quite good but the service was terrible as if we were an annoyance. we had brought a birthday cake to surprise our friend and tried to discreetly ask someone to bring it out. the waitress just shouted over to another wait person in front of the birthday girl and said 'cake at that table', so much for the surprise! i will not be returning to this restaurant.
