O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards, the Gold Coast hinterland winery of the famous eco-tourism family the O'Reilly's, is a grand Queensland homestead with boutique vineyards filled with people dedicated to fine food and wine.
The historic ‘Killowen' homestead was built in 1858 and today sits amongst two hectares of Chambourcin and Semillon grapes along the banks of Canungra Creek. Being just 8 kilometres from Canungra, on the road to O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, makes it the perfect place to stop on your way to or from O'Reilly's and Lamington National Park.
The homestead is the heart of the vineyard and is refurbished to reflect it's original charm.
Open daily 10am - 4.30pm.It features the Cellar Door, sitting room, plus several private function rooms including the Grand Ballroom, with polished timber floors, original open fireplace, and pressed metal ceilings.
Wide timber verandahs sweep around the front, offering views across the vines and along the valley.
The winding creek is home to a family of platypus, which are regularly sighted from a specially constructed platypus hide.
The creek banks are a perfect spot to enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch under the shade of the silky oak trees. Or relax on the verandah in ‘Vintage' restaurant and enjoy a delicious lunch or devonshire tea, served seven days a week, perfectly complemented by an O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards wine.
The Cellar Door is open daily for wine tasting from 10am - 4.30pm. The vineyard's premium range of wines, the O'Reilly's Generation range, are named after O'Reilly family members past and present. The wines have enjoyed success on both the national and international stages, taking out several awards at the Queensland Wine Show and the prestigious San Francisco Wine Show.
