An Everton Hills Indian restaurant has loyal customers, healthy cooking choices and even a try before you buy guarantee for those who aren't familiar with Indian cuisine.

‘We are able to serve a wide range of customers,' said owner Prashant Sharma.

‘From the most experienced tongue to the novice and even the hesitant, every person has been converted to our flavours.'

The owner and head chef are promoting healthy food just like the type Indians themselves traditionally eat and serve at home. For example, basmati rice is used and chilli is served on the side so each customer can add to their taste.

Ghee has been eliminated from the cooking process to provide lighter meals and tofu is introduced as a healthy meat alternative. The menu is 90% gluten free and, importantly for anyone with a peanut allergy, 100% peanut free.

Curry India's reputation is growing as locals spread good reviews via word of mouth.

The restaurant offers a kids menu and there are items such pasta, nuggets, calamari and chips for fussy eaters. Kids under 10 years eat for $10 including a soft drink and children under 3 years eat for free. There are children's specials during family nights Wednesday and Thursday.

Bookings are essential for dine in customers. Delivery available for local take aways.

Curry India is open 7 nights for dinner and weekdays for lunch.
