There are more than 30 restaurants and cafes here, with the bonus of fantastic river and city views.

You can enjoy great Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Turkish, Asian or modern Australian food in a range of prices. Many of these establishments are also child-friendly.

The licensed Café Dell’Ugo is known for its quality Italian menu and is open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, as well as lunch and dinner seven days a week.

The River Canteen on the Boardwalk is bright and airy and offers a seriously good Australian menu. Sunday breakfast sessions are very popular. The restaurant, which is fully licensed, is also open for lunch and dinner every day.

Timmy’s, owned and operated by Timmy Kemp, showcases her classical French training and Vietnamese heritage. She serves delicious breakfasts, lunches, dinners, high teas and mezze platters. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served seven days. The restaurant has a full license and also BYO for bottled wine.

For a Turkish treat, there is Ahmet’s that has great food and features belly dancing every Friday and Saturday night. Chez Laila is located on the river and has an extensive Lebanese menu and specialises in wonderfully tasty breakfasts. The Ginga Japanese Restaurant offers Japanese cuisine in relaxed surroundings.

Obsession Chinese has both contemporary and traditional menus featuring Peking-style cuisine.

Toscani’s in Little Stanley Street has Italian and Mediterranean food, while Viet De Lites offers traditional and contemporary Vietnamese food and takeaways.

Parking There isn’t a lot of nearby street parking. Paid parking is available at the South Bank Parklands underground car park, the Convention Centre or QPAC car parks. Read more parking information.

If you spend over $40 at a participating Little Stanley Street, Grey Street or Parklands retailer or restaurants, your parking is only $5.

Public transport Easy walk from South Brisbane and South Bank train stations. The South Brisbane station is at the QPAC end of the precinct.

Catch a CityCat or ferry to South Bank. Or take a short walk across the river from the city centre.
