That doesn’t mean that steak’s off the menu. Try Cha Cha Char, a favourite haunt of politicians, legal eagles and visiting celebrities – and of course Brisbanites. It’s in Eagle Street on the riverfront. While they also feature non-red meat and vegetarian dishes, if it’s beef you’re after, being filled in on your steak’s breed, age and origin is part of the experience. Cha Cha Char is open for lunch Monday to Friday and dinner seven nights a week. This fully licensed restaurant is ideal for that very special occasion.
