The legendary Belvedere Hotel at Redcliffe, just north of Brisbane, has been transformed with a substantial facelift destined to pump new life into the seaside village atmosphere at Woody Point.

This historic hotel, a fixture on the peninsular since the 1890s, has undergone a transformation which includes a stylish new outdoor dining area featuring oiled decks and open vistas to Bramble Bay. The renovation has retained warm and inviting, old fashioned charm and allows the Belvedere to retain the quintessential appeal of a Queensland pub with great food in an excellent location.

The pride of the refurbishment program is the new multilevelled ‘Steak and Crabhouse’ dining area.

Inspiration for the menu comes from Queensland's abundance of seafood, but lovers of fine steaks are catered for with many tasty and tender steak choices on the menu. Daily specials are posted on a blackboard, offering a selection of many different cuts of prime steak as well as appetisers like a ‘bucket of fresh local prawns’ with home made cocktail sauce, and a traditional Caesar salad, served warm with local prawns. Check out the blackboard for daily mud crab prices too.

For dessert, one of the favourites is the strawberry and mango parfait with one scoop of mango, one of strawberry, layered with cream and topped with pieces of fresh strawberry and mango.

The trend towards enjoying a leisurely weekend breakfast at your local pub, has grown in Brisbane over the past twelve months and it works well at the Belvedere.

There you can enjoy a classic plate of fried eggs, tomato and bacon accompanied by summer breezes from Moreton Bay and perhaps finished off with a virgin mary or a fresh fruit plate.

Bon appetit!
