Are you a foodie at heart? Do you hunt for the best fresh produce? Would you like to experience the infamous Granite Belt in the heart of Brisbane?

If you answered yes, then you'll love the South Bank Grower's Market. With 40 stalls from across the region selling wine, fruit and vegetables, cheese and other locally produced gourmet goodies, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Check out a few stalls that are sure to be crowd favourites...

Aloomba Lavender

Owned by Tere Bonner, Aloomba Lavender is the product of 5 acres of lavender, from which they harvest 35 000 bunches. From this they process fine lavender products (including lavender chocolates and jams, marmalades as well as almond bread containing lavender). They also distil their own lavender essential oil and carry a wide range of lavender products.

The Bramble Patch

Don and Patsy Stirling own The Bramble Patch, part of the Granite Belt's food landscape for 14 years. Top selling products include tomato quetta, eggplant kassoundi, raspberry vinegar and all of their fruit pastes including vintage shiraz, cabernet & cracked pepper and ruby quince. They produce 50 products, many made from berries grown in the region.

LiráH

Ian Henderson, a university qualified winemaker, has run his Granite Belt based business LíráH since 2002. LíráH specialises in varietal vinegar and verjus. These include many styles from sweet to dry and from a variety of wine grape varieties and other fruits. There are very few professional vinegar makers in Australia and LíráH is one of the largest producers in this emerging industry.

Pyramids Road Wines

Pyramids Road Wines are owned by Suzanne Smith and is renowned for producing high quality table wines, specialising in red wines such as 2007 Verdelho, 2007 Merlot, 2006 Cabernet Merlot, Wattlebird Red (semi-sweet rose), Mistella (dessert wine).

Pyramids Road Wines complete the entire process from growing the grapes to bottling and labelling the wines. The wines are hand made using traditional methods and produced in low volumes.
