This pub trivia host and researcher cum radio and TV presenter is a man of many parts. He’s travelled the world managing hotels and backpacker resorts, and working as a DJ. In 1998, he returned to Brisbane and started a trivia night at the Story Bridge Hotel. Six months later, he had 30 venues a week, from Brisbane to Cairns to Darwin. Ten years on, it’s bigger and better than ever.

Harry fills his spare time with a Friday night trivia show on 4BC, his Briz 31 quiz show “Bet Your Brain Cells”, captaining a cricket team – the South East XI (SEXI) – and adoring his beautiful wife Wendy.

What's your favourite:

Word: Word.

Drink: Veuve Clicquot, XXXX Gold, butterscotch schnapps.

Fruit: Banana (what an odd question).

Place for a holiday: Waikiki Beach – I spend every birthday there.

Website: www.harrystrivia.com and www.betyourbraincells.com

Thing to eat for breakfast: Lunch - it means I’ve had a sleep in.

Way to spend Sunday afternoon: Riding Brisbane’s bikeways with my wife Wendy.

View in Brisbane: From my Kangaroo Point balcony watching the ferries and the CityCats go by.

What's your middle name - does it have special significance? I only have one name – Harry. Just the one name is great, except when trying to get through a country’s passport control or open a bank account!

Do you still have anything from your childhood? (eg teddy bear, fave book, memories of beach holidays etc) And what does it mean to you? I was the fourth child and I think Mum and Dad were bored of taking photos by the time I arrived. I have nothing. Sigh.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? New York City, with winters in Hawaii.

What can't you live without? My beautiful wife Wendy – she is my world.

Is there anything else you want the world to know? I do a great “Elvis” at karaoke; I can play darts left and right handed, and my nickname on the London pool circuit was “hammer”.
