Cyclists can take advantage of the city’s newest cycle centre, with great facilities, next to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) at Herston.
You don’t have to work at the hospital to use the facilities, the centre is open to the public for long and short term use.
There is space for 750 bicycle parking spaces, with 20 male and 20 female showers. Stuff your gear into one of 900 lockers and get ready for the day with ironing facilities, hair dryers and a clean towel service.
If you join before 31 March 2010, a 12 month membership costs only $7.50 per week or $1.50 per day. The first 350 people will also receive a free cycling jersey, backpack and water bottle.
Members can access the centre 24 hours a day and staff are on hand from 6am – 2.30pm Monday to Friday.
If you simply want to try out the centre and use it on a casual basis, pay $5 per visit.
Upstairs from the cycle centre you'll find the major bus stop of the Northern Busway. If you choose to, you can park your bike at the cycle centre then catch one of dozens of buses to the city or other suburbs from this hub.

There's also the King George Square cycle centre in the city.

What a great facility - walkers/runners could use this too and then catch the bus to the CBD.
