While all state schools strive to respond to and meet community needs, there are a number of high schools that have established specialised programs for outstanding students. These schools partner with sporting associations or higher learning institutions to provide opportunities for students beyond those generally offered at a high school level.
Most of these schools include the specialised programs in the school’s formal curriculum and certified teachers or coaches run the programs.
Generally, the specialised courses are offered to senior students (Year 11 & 12) and acceptance depends upon ability, school results and personal attributes.
For more information contact the school about enrolment requirements.
