"I sell wine. I live wine. I love wine. As a result, I am a part-owner and General Manager of a specialty fine wine shop called The Wine Emporium at The Emporium in the Valley."

What’s your favourite:

Word: absolutely. In fact, this word may be subject to some degree of overuse by yours truly...

Drink: wine – 1961 Chateau Latour (I’ve never actually had this – my mean wife never buys me any. I don’t know why).

Fruit: blah to fruit! Unless it’s specially fermented grape juice, of course.

Place for a holiday: any vineyard area but preferably Burgundy. Somewhere beautiful with lots of great food. Priorat (in Spain) or a tapas bar in Barcelona are also tasty options.

Website: www.collingwoodfc.com.au

Thing to eat for breakfast: vegemite toast and tea, although I do have a fondness for lashings of bacon with barbeque sauce.

Way to spend Sunday afternoon: watching a stirring Collingwood victory. Playing football with my son (who, by the way, can’t walk yet).

View in Brisbane: the 360 degree views from the top of Riparian Plaza. Or The Wine Emporium’s front window.

What’s your middle name – does it have special significance? George. It was my grandfather’s first name.

Do you still have anything from your childhood? My mother saved a surprising amount of my baby stuff, which we have given to our son.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? In a chateau in Bordeaux – preferably Chateau Margaux though.

What can’t you live without? My wife and sons. My Collingwood football club membership and the Foxtel remote. Oh, and a bottle of 1961 Latour…
