If you fly to Brisbane airport, and your final destination is the Gold Coast, the air-train is the most direct way to get there. However beware that all train stations on the Gold Coast are very far from the main centres, such as Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. So be ready to add extra time and money to go from the station to your accommodation by taxi or by bus. You may find a door-to-door coach to be a cheaper and more convenient alternative.

Let me just add that if you are looking for some nice lookout with great views of the coastline as well as the hinterland, then the Springbrook National Park is a great place to go.

The Gold Coast area, with all these Theme Parks surely is a heaven for roller-coaster lovers and kids of all ages. Maybe it's a bit less of a heaven for the parents, who must fork out hundreds of dollars for each park to take the whole family there!
