Little Lifesavers

Surf Lifesaving Queensland will return to Streets Beach at South Bank Parklands this summer with an exciting ‘nipper’ program for children aged between five – 11 years.

The Little Lifesavers Program brings Brisbane children a great opportunity to participate in traditionally coastal based junior activities in the heart of Brisbane.

Highly skilled Surf Lifesavers will conduct three programs throughout the summer months in 2008/2009. Each structured program will guide participants toward receiving a Surf Lifesaving Queensland relevant qualification for their age.

The first and third programs will take place between 8am -10am for seven consecutive Saturdays from Saturday 4th October – Saturday 15th November, and from Saturday 7th February – 21st March 2009.

The second program will take place from Monday 19th – Friday 23rd January 2009. This week-long school holiday program will take place between 8am - 11am.

The program costs $65 and children will receive a Limited Edition Little Lifesaver shirt, activities cap, participation in the program and entry into the program break up activities.

Parents or guardians must remain at South Bank for the duration of the lesson, and are asked to arrive before 7:45am to sign their children into the program. Children must bring their swimming costumes, sun protection and sunscreen, a towel, water bottle, hat and warm clothing labelled with their full name.
