Ciao Baby is part of Albion’s Sandgate Road restaurant precinct with its new breed of inner city quick-and-casual concept restaurants and cool dining spots.

The vibrant red exterior of the two-storey Victorian building provides insight into the rustic interior that is Ciao Baby. The funky mood continues inside with the rough exposed brick and raw timber melding happily with splashes of red creating a rustic Italian ambience with a contemporary vibe.

The interior of rough exposed bricks and raw timber is the handy-work of the owner of the building, Peter Stemm. Peter was not content sitting on the side lines and has recently taken over the ownership of the restaurant and is often seen chatting with customers.

The renovated Al Pacino Private Dining Room caters for 8-12 people while the Vespa Room seats 60. A degustation menu, featuring 8 courses, is also available (minimum 15 people).

In addition to all the pizza, pasta (home-made, of course), breads and risotto you’d hope to find, the menu also has options that are gluten free, and they cater for Halal clients. The desert menu is bound to tempt you – and if you’ve got kids, Ciao Baby has them covered too.

The relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant is evident and the great service and great food shows that at Ciao Baby they really do value their customers.
