Q: I have a Mexican Lime tree that has couch grass and weeds growing around its base - what's the best way to get rid of them without harming the tree? Jane, The Gap.

A: Spray the grass and weeds at the base of your lime tree with glyphosate. This will not harm the tree. Just make certain that none of the spray gets on the tree itself, even at the base.
