Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA)

Location

The Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) is just a short walk across the Victoria Bridge from the Brisbane CBD. GoMA and the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) are located within easy walking distance of each other (150m apart), with entrances to both on Stanley Place. They are part of the Cultural Centre, close to the city centre and South Bank Parklands.

Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm

Admission

Free, except for special exhibitions and some Cinematheque programs.

Parking

Paid parking is available at the following local car parks:

• Queensland Art Gallery/Queensland Museum Car park — enter from Grey Street or the Cultual Centre tunnel.
• Stanley Place Car park — enter from the Cultural Centre tunnel or Stanley Place.
• Queensland Performing Arts Centre Car park — enter from the Cultural Centre tunnel.

Public transport

Bus: Alight at the Cultural Centre Busway in Melbourne Street. Chartered bus temporary set-down in Stanley Place.

Train: Alight at South Brisbane Station, corner of Melbourne and Grey Streets.

CityCat and Ferry: The CityCat and City Ferry terminals are located at South Bank 1 CityCate terminal.

Taxi: Set-down is available in Stanley Place, from Grey Street (both directions) and the Cultural Centre Tunnel. A Yellow Cab taxi phone is located in the foyers of both QAG and GoMA.

Accessibility

Mobility impaired and wheelchair access is available to both the QAG and GoMA. GoMA wheelchair access is via the Street Level entrance on Stanley Place or via the lift from the Stanley Place car park.

Cloakroom

Minimal baggage should be taken into gallery spaces. Essential items are permitted, however, all umbrellas, backpacks and large bags should be checked into the cloakroom.

Gallery dining

The River Cafe is a self-service cafeteria on the Park Level of GoMA and offers a variety of hot and cold meal options, all with an emphasis on freshness, fast service and healthy options for family or group dining. The outdoor seating area overlooks the Brisbane River.

Opening hours: Mon & Tue 10am - 4pm, Wed to Sun 7am to 4pm.

The Foyer Cafe on Level 2 of GoMA overlooks the Kurilpa reach of the Brisbane River with stunning views to Mount Coot-tha. This licensed cafe offers table service and a modern menu based around fresh, seasonal produce.
