Rumours that Sex and the City's Mr Big (Chris Noth) will be killed off in the movie adaption of the famous TV series have been laid to rest by director Michael Patrick King.
"Kill Mr Big? I would have been chased around the planet by women with torches," says King, who also co-wrote and co-produced the film with its star, Sarah Jessica Parker.
According to reports by the Associated Press, although the idea of a Mr Big death was pitched to King early on, the director decided against it keeping in mind the aftermath from the audience should they have killed off Mr Big.
"I did want an emotional roller-coaster," King says. "But my ultimate target was to make our 'girlfriends' - in other words, our audience - happy. And I don't think Mr Big dying would make them happy."
