Brisbane-based Sissons estate agents have been judged national Small Agency of the Year 2008, beating the top agencies in all other states of Australia in this award category.
In his acceptance speech, Managing Director Peter Sissons (pictured right with Petra Sprekos General Manager of Realestateview.com) stated that being judged as the best agency on a national platform was the highlight of his career to date, and that none of it would have been possible without the support and commitment of his staff, and all the clients who have used, and continue to use, the company.
The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) held its national Awards for Excellence at a gala dinner in Melbourne's Grand Hyatt, where the elite of the nation's real estate professionals met to honour the best in their industry.
In presenting this national award to Sissons, a spokesman for the REIA said, "During the year, Sissons also achieved a conversion rate of listings to settled sales of 94%. This was only possible due to their methodical and detailed approach that highlights to sellers the benefits of promoting their properties at market value, and ensuring each property is very well presented."
The judging process was undertaken on a national scale by esteemed judges from both within the real estate industry and from associated industries, with the best agency from each state representing their states in the finals.

- Marketing skills
- Significant sales and
- Professional and business developments over the past year
This is not the first time Sissons estate agents have received acknowledgement for their superior level of skills and services as they have previously been judged at a state level by the Real Estate Institute of Queensland as the state Agency of the Year for four out of the past nine years, making them the most highly awarded agency within the industry in Queensland.
