Kondalilla National Park

More like this:

Kondalilla National Park takes its name from an Aboriginal word meaning 'rushing waters'. In this cool haven on the Blackall Range, Skene Creek plummets 90 metre over the falls to a rock pool below. The park shelters five rare and threatened frog species as well as the rare bopple nut. Birdwatchers and nature photographers love this park, with its views, rainforest and wildlife. Enjoy a picnic at Kondalilla Falls day-use area. From here, walkers can choose the easy 2.4 kilometre Picnic Creek circuit or the moderate 3.2 kilometre Rock Pools walk. From Lake Baroon, fit walkers can enjoy the first stage of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great!Walk, spending their first night at Flaxton walkers' camp.
