Ghost Hunt

Jack SIm

If you dig just a little bit deeper, there are some truly fascinating stories in our region's history.

National Geographic recently voted Brisbane the world's second most haunted town.

Author and Historian Jack Sim has become the voice of Brisbane's haunted history.

"Boggo Road Gaol without a doubt is one of Australia's most creepy and most haunted prisons. The most creepy story of the last man hung, he's supposed to walk the corridors of the prison eternally as punishment," said Jack.

Jack has been running Brisbane Ghost Tours since last century and has now set his sights on one of Queensland's oldest graveyards, Ipswich Cemetery.

The Ghost Hunts are focusing on giving you the skills to investigate paranormal activity and determine whether the site is or is not haunted.

Some of the investigative techniques Ghost Hunters will be doing include:

  • EMF Readingsdetecting disturbances in the electro magnetic field
  • EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) looking for strange voices or sounds in digital recordings
  • Dowsing Rods and Pendulums attempting to communicate directly with any presences.
