South Bank is known and loved as the place for Brisbane people to congregate, celebrate and swim. But did you know it's also a place to shop?
Markets
Every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday crowds flock to buy local and interesting wares from the South Bank Lifestyle Market.
There are also the very popular Granite Belt Growers' Markets, Young Designers Market and the newest market - Mums, Kids and Bubs. These are held every few months so keep an eye open for their upcoming dates.
Shops
Kids (or anyone with a childish taste for sweets) will adore the Great Aussie Sweet Company in Stanley Street Plaza. Grab a bag, select your favourites from the hundreds of treats on offer and weigh them up. There's also BB Souvenirs to cater for the many tourists who love visiting South Bank.
Just behind the Parklands, take a wander along the boutique boulevards of Little Stanley Street and Grey Street. There's a good selection of fashion, accessories, homewares and sports wear stores, as well as many welcome cafes in which to refuel.
At the end of South Bank, within the Cultural Precinct, you'll find the gift stores filled with unique gifts, books and more at the Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Museum, State Library and Queensland Art Gallery.
Public transport & parking
If you're planning a shopping trip to South Bank, there are good public transport options via bus, train or CityCat. If you'd like to drive there is underground paid parking, accessible from Little Stanley Street or Tribune Street.
