Swimwear by Lisa Ho
Head to South Bank to see models parading hot swimwear designs at Brisbane's only inner-city beach on Wednesday 27 August, as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Models will make a splash on the custom-built submerged runway in the Streets Beach lagoon as they showcase the hottest swimwear designs from Riot Swimwear, Flamingo Sands, Lisa Ho Swim and Anna & Boy.
Festival Director Lindsay Bennett said the swimwear parade was always an extremely popular event on the Festival program. Tickets are on sale now.
"This year's swimwear parade at South Bank is being held during the day to take advantage of our spectacular Queensland weather - even in winter our days are simply stunning," Lindsay said.
"Streets Beach at South Bank is the perfect venue for such a show."
South Bank Corporation Chief Executive Officer Malcolm Snow said the Corporation was delighted to partner with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival to host the South Bank Swimwear Group Show.
"Each year, the swimwear parade proves to be one of the most highly anticipated parades in the program. We are thrilled to sponsor the South Bank Swimwear Group Show in 2008 and I'm certain it will be a special highlight at this year's Festival," Mr Snow said.
Liz Golding, head stylist for MBFF said the inclusion of new designers and the return of so many renowned designers to this year's line-up signifies the calibre of Queensland's premier fashion event.
"I'm really excited about Lisa Ho Swim and Flamingo Sands joining Riot Swimwear and Anna & Boy in this parade - we are showcasing the ‘IT' swimwear labels in Australia in a stunning Queensland setting."
