Welcome to Bardon
Bardon is an old established hilly suburb named after Bardon House built by architect Joshua Jeays. The water tower which can be seen from many neighbouring suburbs in Brisbane has been one of the most recognisable landmarks since 1927. However its most distinguished landmark is Government House on Fernberg Road built in 1865.
With its close proximity to Mt Coot-tha and Brisbane Forest Park, Bardon is ideal for those wanting easy access to bushland and the suburb has spectacular views of the city.
Bardon is close to major roads leading to the city, north to Enoggera and west to Toowong so major shopping centres are never far away from this quiet suburb and it is only a short drive or walk to neighbouring Paddington for a day browsing antiques, furniture and boutiques.
