Profile
Doolandella is a semi-rural and still developing suburb 17 km south-southwest of the Brisbane CBD. Because of the rural and sparsely populated nature of the suburb, it is more often than not included in statistical reports as part of the nearby residential development of Forest Lake.
This is now changing, however, as Doolandella is experiencing considerable residential development.
The suburb has many opportunities for people interested in acreage lifestyle in a bush scape environment.
While there are no services such as schools or shopping centres in Doolandella itself, being so close to Forest Lake, the area has the advantages of this community’s amenities.
According to the 2006 Census there were 2,215 people living in the area with a median age of 31. The median individual income was $452 per week. Of all occupied private dwellings 64.8% were either fully owned or being purchased; 28.1% were being rented.
