The suburb of Hendra is ideally situated for frequent flyers due to its close proximity to Brisbane Airport. It is also a popular suburb for racegoers with Doomden and Eagle Farm Racetracks right next door.
In Derby Street stands the beautiful heritage listed "Glengariff", once the home of Thomas Charles Beirne, whose name is very well known in Brisbane from the T C Beirne building and complex in the Valley.
