Welcome to Herston
Although Herston is practically an inner city suburb, it is fortunate to boast some of the city's greenest space thanks to the Victoria Park Golf Course, several parks and Ballymore, the famous Rugby Union stadium.
Herston's most prominent buildings are hospitals with the largest medical complex in Australia - the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Royal Women's Hospital, Royal Children's Hospital and the University of Queensland's Medical School.
Residential housing takes up half of Herston and it's a popular suburb for city workers and students attending the Medical School or QUT's Kelvin Grove campus.
