Highgate Hill an inner city southern suburb is instantly recognisable by Brisbane's first high rise building, "Torbreck" at 182 Dornoch Terrace.

Despite having been built in the late 1950s - early 1960s it can still be seen from many vantage points in Brisbane.

Highgate Hill's views and close proximity to the city and  West End precinct have made it into a popular suburb.
