Welcome to Karana Downs
Karana Downs in Brisbane's west is a relatively recent suburb of Brisbane as it was formerly part of Ipswich.
It is a semi rural suburb near the river with lots of undeveloped bushland and open space. As a result it is a little isolated from some services but has its own school, golf club, pony club and many nearby attractions such as Lake Manchester and Brisbane Forest Park.

Faye says: This wonderful scenic, stress-free, no pollution suburb has it all, quiet semirural living, lots of large riverside parks, friendly people, no traffic lights, roundabouts, large shopping malls - but we are not too far from the city and all of the amenities that are necessary for modern life. I love it!
