Profile
Moggill is a small outlying community 18 km southwest of Brisbane’s CBD. The suburb is next door to Bellbowrie and the rural suburb of Anstead. Bellbowrie and Moggill share many facilities including the Moggill Country Club, the Bellbowrie District Sports and Recreation Association located in Booker Place Park where there is a soccer field.
The Bellbowrie Plaza Shopping Centre services both communities’ retail requirements, as does the Bellbowrie public swimming pool.
The only educational facility in the area is the Moggill Primary School with Secondary School students needing to attend schools in Kenmore or Indooroopilly.
Housing styles vary with some modern brick and tile low set and high set examples, as well as acreage-style homes.
According to the 2006 Census there were 2,145 people living in the suburb with a median age of 34. The median individual income was $686 per week. Of all occupied private dwellings 67.4% were either fully owned or being purchased; 28.7% were being rented.
