If you want peace, tranquility, bushland and spectacular natural views it's hard to go past Mt Crosby. With Colleges Crossing and the Brisbane River practically in your backyard, this is a suburb where you're likely to see wallabies hopping across your lawn and wake to the call of native birds.

Mt Crosby is one of Brisbane's most westerly suburbs and many properties have direct river access. Pole homes are popular, due to the hilly nature of many plots, especially those with the most stunning river views.

Mt Crosby's residents can easily commute to the CBD if they so choose, or play a round of golf at neighbouring Karana Downs. Kayaking and fishing on the Brisbane River are both popular pursuits.

The village of Mt Crosby was developed in 1892 to service the needs of a steam-powered pumping station, which used to supply water to Brisbane and Ipswich. Mt Crosby has grown in the last century, of course, but still manages to retain its rural charm.

Jayne says: We have the best of everything:- below us is the river, next to us lives the mountains, above us lies the heavens; we're high enough to miss the frost, low enough to miss the clouds and beautiful enough to never want to leave.
