Welcome to Pinjarra Hills

Visitors to Pinjarra Hills will admire the semi-rural setting and acreage homes. Until recently Pinjarra Hills was also home to the University of Queensland's Veterinary Science farm. The 280 ha site in Moggill Road was donated to the University in 1923 by philanthropist Dr James O’Neill Mayne and his sister Mary. Future use of the land by the university is not yet decided.

The Brisbane River runs as one border to the suburb and just across the water, as the crow flies, are Jindalee and Westlake. However the people who live in Pinjarra Hills are much more likely to drive to Kenmore or Bellbowrie for groceries or schools. There is also the Brisbane Independent School in neighbouring Pullenvale.

Many properties are large enough to have horses, tennis courts and more yet it's only 5-10 minutes drive from all the big city services, cafes and shops of Kenmore. City workers who live in Pinjarra Hills can easily commute into the CBD so it really does offer a country style of living, close to the city.

Pinjarra Hills is about 17km from Brisbane’s CBD. Over 50% of households in this area are comprised of couples with children, 41% are couples without children and 6% are single parent families. Stand alone house account for over 97% of all dwellings in this area, and units account for a further 2%. Pinjarra Hills is mostly acreage properties, and the area has a peaceful rural feel to it.
