Profile
This fairly newly developed suburb is located in the Centenary area 14 kilometres south–west of the Brisbane CBD.
Sinnamon Park is an upmarket suburb found along the reaches of the Brisbane River. Many homes have cityscape views with this leafy suburb also having a refined riverside ambience.
Most of the homes in Sinnamon Park are brick and tile with many having rendered facades. Attractive to families and professional couples, the suburb also has ample recreation facilities.
A development in the area is the Windamere Estate, which boasts river frontage and a number of prestige properties.
Although the majority of residents live in owner-occupied housing there is a developing rental market with approximately one in every four residential dwellings available for rent. There is easy access to the city via CityXpress buses and the Centenary Highway.
There are several schools in the area including a secondary college located in nearby Oxley.
The district has many recreational facilities include two golf courses: the Jindalee Golf Course and McLeod Country Golf Course. A city council library is located at nearby Mt Ommaney.
Retail facilities in the region are extensive and include Christies Home Base at Jindalee and the Mt Ommaney Centre at Mt Ommaney, which has 110 retail outlets including a Kmart, Big W, Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.
According to the 2006 Census there were5,747 people living in the area with a median age of 36. The median individual income was $666 per week. Of all occupied private dwellings 74.5% were either fully owned or being purchased; 21.9% were being rented.
