Welcome to Sumner

Sumner is one of Brisbane's industrial heartlands with Sumner Park Industrial Estate being a well known name. It is full of small to medium sized factories, workshops, warehouses and building display centres.

There are a small number of residential homes and townhouses within the suburb in a curved pocket of streets.  Sumner has easy access to both the Centenary Highway and Ipswich Motorway and there's a train station at nearby Darra.

In 2001 the Centenary Memorial Gardens with cemetery and crematoria were established in tranquil bushland surroundings along Wacol Station Road.
