Welcome to The Gap
Growing up in The Gap once felt like you were growing up in the bush, a million miles from the city. But, as Brisbane spreads, outer suburbs become inner suburbs and The Gap is now considered an easy commute, close to the city.
The Gap is surrounded by bushland, giving it a wonderful green outlook and making it feel quite isolated. Brisbane Forest Park is the chief attraction - it has 28,500 hectares of bushland and gives visitors the opportunity to go bushwalking, mountain-bike riding, horse-riding, birdwatching or camping. There's an Information Centre, restaurant and souvenir shop at 60 Mt Nebo Rd, The Gap and also the Walk-About Creek Wildlife Centre.
The Gap has a state primary school and a high school as well as kindergartens and crèches and a small shopping centre, where you can purchase all the essentials.

Yvonne says: I like the fact that The Gap is so close to the City but still has a "country feeling" thanks to its many parks and gardens which support a variety of birds and "wildlife" such as possums.
