What is E toll?
Electronic tolling or E toll is an electronic form of toll payment. By attaching a transponder to the inside of your vehicle's windscreen, your toll will be automatically deducted from your E toll account as you cruise through the toll plaza.
E toll can be used across the entire Queensland Motorways network, which includes the Gateway Bridge, the Gateway Extension and the Logan Motorway. Dedicated E toll lanes are open 24 hours a day.
You can also use it to travel on all electronic toll roads in Australia and future toll roads, including the North South Bypass Tunnel.
Why should I get E toll?
You don't have to be a commercial road user or even a heavy road user. Imagine the ease of heading up or down the coast, buzzing around town, or popping into the city without the hassle of stopping to pay tolls and scratching around for change.
What does it cost?
There's no locked in contract period with E toll and your transponder is supplied deposit-free. All you need to set yourself up on E toll is $25 in prepaid tolls and a few minutes to apply.
E toll accounts can be topped up manually or automatically. The credit on your account does not have an expiry date. Once you have E toll, it's entirely up to you how often you use it.
How do I know when my toll credit is getting low?
Your transponder automatically deducts toll payments from your E toll account as you travel through the toll plaza. You will hear a single beep that tells you your payment has been successfully made.
If your E toll account balance needs topping-up, you will hear a single beep followed by another two beeps as you drive through.
How do I apply?
Setting up E toll is easy. Simply prepay $25 in tolls, and within 7 working days you will receive an activated E toll transponder in the mail.

- by visiting one of the Customer Service Centres located at 1051 Lytton Road, Murarrie or Stapylton Road, Heathwood, between 7.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday
