No traffic, no road rage - just jump on board a CityCat or ferry and enjoy the Brisbane River scenery.

CityCats and CityFerries

CityCats are a popular, speedy way to travel the river. CityFerries are smaller and make more stops than CityCats.

Popular ferry destinations include South Bank, St Lucia, New Farm, West End, Hamilton, Bulimba, Toowong and the city.

Timetables, fares and terminals

Check TransLink's website for timetable information and the latest news and updates to services.

You can travel on participating buses, trains and ferries using your go card or other valid TransLink ticket.

Fares are calculated according to the number of zones travelled in a journey.

All Brisbane's CityCat and CityFerry stops are within Translink's zones 1 and 2.

If you're in the city, visit the Transport Information Centre, King George Square station, Ann Street Concourse for more information about ferries and other public transport services in Brisbane.

Jan & Don Jamieson from Brisbane 4000 Qld says:

We never tire of rides on the Brisbane ferries, whether just for enjoyment, or the purpose of reaching a destination. However, it is a half hour walk to the nearest ferry wharf in either direction, North Quay or Regatta for us. Therefore, we would like to propose that whilst the Hale Street Bridge is under construction, consideration for ferry terminals to be placed on both sides of the Brisbane river near the bridge exit and entrance points, as a much needed requirement.
