No traffic, no road rage - just jump on board a CityCat or ferry and enjoy the Brisbane River scenery.
CityCats
CityCats are a popular, speedy way to travel the river.
Destinations include South Bank, the University of Queensland, New Farm, the city and Hamilton.
A new CityCat timetable was introduced on Monday 27 April 2009 due to the addition of Brisbane City Council's 14th CityCat 'Mahreel'.
CityFerries
CityFerries are smaller boats and they make more stops than the CityCats.
Find a CityCat or ferry route, timetable and terminal location.
All of Brisbane's CityCat and ferry stops are within Translink's zones 1 and 2.
Private ferry services also operate at Dutton Park and Moggill.
If you are in the city, visit the Transport Information Centre, King George Square station, Ann Street Concourse for helpful advice on public transport in Brisbane.

Brisbane Transport trivia

We never tire of rides on the Brisbane ferries, whether just for enjoyment, or the purpose of reaching a destination. However, it is a half hour walk to the nearest ferry wharf in either direction, North Quay or Regatta for us. Therefore, we would like to propose that whilst the Hale Street Bridge is under construction, consideration for ferry terminals to be placed on both sides of the Brisbane river near the bridge exit and entrance points, as a much needed requirement.
