Kids’ APT
Two kids' faces fragmented and recombined in Wit Pimkanchanapong's multimedia interactive art project "I, you, we" at APT6.
Celebrating a decade of Kids’ APT, the Children’s Art Centre presents 17 engaging artist projects and art works displayed across both buildings, including major galleries and the dedicated Children’s Art Centre spaces at GoMA.
Kids’ APT has been developed to reflect the themes of the APT exhibition, offering children and families insights into contemporary art across the Asia Pacific region. There are also be special art work labels to help young visitors engage with the works on display.
Yami the northern hairy-nosed wombat, one of Australia’s extremely rare marsupials, is the Kids’ APT mascot. Found only in very small numbers in Queensland's Epping Forest National Park, Yami will venture out of his dark burrow to guide children through this year’s Kids’ APT. Spot Yami throughout the Gallery spaces for exciting things to see and do.
