'Centenary Rocks!' Festival

'Centenary Rocks!' theme for 2008 is ‘Get into the Rhythm’ involving high energy, active participation, music and dance.

The ‘Centenary Rocks!’ festival is a free community based event held on the last weekend of July each year at the Rocks Riverside Park, Counihan Rd Seventeen Mile Rocks.

‘Centenary Rocks!’ is a weekend of local and Brisbane based talent including entertainers, dancers, a combined community choir and bands. There will be many free activities such as dance, aerobic and music workshops and demonstrations as well as the Defence Force display, an improved and bigger car show, animal farm, market stalls, multi-cultural food, refreshments, rides and amusements.

After the success of last year's Saturday night program we will have the African flaming drum and fire show and fireworks as the finale for the evening and the combined massed choir finale on the Sunday.

It is a weekend where community groups and businesses showcase what they can offer and provide to the community as well as promote themselves.

Get involved, be a part of the weekend, take a stall or just come and enjoy the activities.
