Next Game On Night: Friday 30 January
MUSIC: Little Scout - Brisbane's fresh purveyors of indie-folk-pop with a touch of fragility. Enamoured with a good dose of encouragement from their pals, and with the help of a triangle, casio beat and a tambourine, the band took to the bright lights of the stage in May 2008.
Little Scout released their debut, self-produced EP ‘The Dead Loss EP' in August 2008 and have since been announced as one of Triple J's ‘Next Crop' for 2008 and were a Triple J's Unearthed Feature Artist of the Week.
Little Scout draw their musical influences from the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Camera Obscura, Iron & Wine and Feist and always try their best to smell nice and wear fancy shoes while performing.
MEET: Hoodlum, 6.30pm - An award winning digital entertainment company, Hoodlum produces drama and multi-platform content complete with sponsor integration way beyond the simple webisode series.
From their base in Brisbane, Hoodlum scooped the British Academy Film Television Awards (BAFTA's) in 2008 in London winning both the award for Interactivity and the Craft Award for most innovative content for Spooks Interactive. In 2008 they were also finalists for a Primetime ® Emmy for the Global broadband prequel they produced for ABC's LOST, Find815. Most recently they produced Summer Bay Online for Yahoo!7 and Network Seven and the ARG Dharma Wants You for ABC's LOST.
Featuring: Jackie Turnure - Head of Production, Richard Owen - Technology Manager, Anthony Mullins - Creative Director, Jareth Bone - Lead Flash Developer.
