Following the overwhelming success of the inaugural reggae festival Raggamuffin, fans will be delighted to hear it’s happening all over again in 2009.

Ziggy Marley, Eddy Grant, Stephen Marley, Shaggy, Arrested Development (see their video below), Inner Circle and Bonjah will perform at six events nationally.

Brisbane line-up and running order: 

  • Bonja 3:05pm - 3:35pm
  • Inner Circle 3:55pm - 4:25pm
  • Arrested Development 4:45pm - 5:30pm
  • Shaggy 6pm - 6:45pm
  • Stephen Marley 7:05pm - 7:50pm
  • Eddie Grant 8:10pm - 9:10pm
  • Ziggy Marley 9:30pm - 10:30pm

Bordered by the Brisbane River, Botanical Gardens and Alice Street. Pedestrian access is via Gardens Point Road, The Goodwill Bridge, or the Botanical Gardens.

Parking

No parking is available onsite. There are paid parking stations in the city centre within walking distance to the River Stage, check out our parking section for more information.

There is limited metered parking along Alice Street.

Public transport

Bus: To get to River Stage, you can take the free inner-city Loop Bus. It leaves Adelaide and Edward Streets (stop 25) and stops at George and Alice Streets. It is an 800m walk to River Stage from Alice Street.

Train: Central or Roma Street stations are approximately 25 mins walk away. Alternatively, catch the train to South Bank Station and enjoy a 10-minute walk across the Goodwill Bridge.

Citycat: River Stage is an approximately 965m walk from the QUT Gardens Point terminal.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access is through Gate 1. For reserved seating events, wheelchair positions will be available in Gold Reserve seating (subject to availability). For General Admission price category, there is a Wheelchair Area available on a platform at the top of the hill looking down on the stage (side viewing). Please note that there are toilets available, but not near the platform.
