The Groove and Grape Festival in 2006.
Set in historic Queens Park in central Brisbane and overlooked by two of Brisbane's grandest heritage buildings, the Conrad Treasury Groove and Grape Festival is a unique, free music festival featuring live entertainment, fine food and an exhibition of Queensland wines.
Launched just five years ago, the festival aims to bring the best of Queensland music, wine and food to the heart of Brisbane, so everyone can enjoy the stunning heritage setting.
The festival, which took a break last year, now returns bigger and better than ever on the weekend of Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October 2008.
The groove
This year’s headline act is pop sensation Vanessa Amorosi, who will entertain crowds with songs from her second album ‘Somewhere In The Real World’.
Music lovers can also look forward to the “funky, flamenco dance tunes” of Gold Coast band, Tijuana Cartel, who released their debut album late last year to rave reviews.
Other acts will include soul sensation Lisa Hunt (closing the festival on Sunday evening), DJ Kina, The Gin Club, Jeff Lang, Bobby Flynn, The Bamboos and the Dan Parsons Band.

The grape
Queensland's burgeoning wine industry is now boasting some of the best wine product in the country, and you’ll be able to buy it by the glass or bottle direct from the supplier. No need to travel miles to explore dusty cellars or remote vineyards!

Refreshing ales and soft drinks will also be available.
The graze
Good music and fine wine deserves gourmet food, and at the Groove and Grape you can choose from an array of delectable delights.
Antipasto (olives, seasonal veg, marinated fetta) will complement that award-winning chardonnay.
Or try some char-grilled baby octopus, hummus and Crissini sticks, or Kenilworth cheese to go with that spicy Shiraz.
Other fare on offer includes Singapore noodles, lasagne with rocket and parmesan salad, Bratwurst rolls with onions, or good-old fashioned pizza.
For the sweet tooth there’s biscotti, cinnamon doughnuts or fresh strawberries with cream.
With prices ranging from $5 to $10, you’re sure to find something to suit your palate and pocket.
