Many of the stalls are overflowing with second hand goods. It’s a great market to find a bargain amongst the trash and treasure, especially clothing, books, bric-a-brac and kids’ toys.
But families on a budget will also appreciate the cheap fruit and vegetable stalls and plants. There are a few regular vans selling hot food, snacks and drinks. It differs from other markets because there are very few stalls selling commercial retail goods.
Our reviewer likes the Ferny Grove markets because ‘they are a relaxing way to start a Sunday and in the current economic climate, make your dollar go further’.
Go to Ferny Grove and you’ll see lots of kids, dogs on leads and bargain hunters. If you want to raise some cash, think about having a casual stall selling your stuff.
