This very relaxed market has a good variety of fresh food produce. Our reviewer shops there most weeks for her weekly fruit and veg supplies. There are some organic stalls, plus honey, seasonal fruit, flowers, meat and breads.

It’s very easy to walk around and there’s a laid back atmosphere.

For an easy weekend brekky, the Hotel Broadway opens for meals and coffee plus there is a very popular café down the road called the Brown Dog Café.

If you want an easy place to source fresh, local food, then give Hotel Broadway Grower's Markets a go.

When: Every Saturday morning from 6am – noon.

Where: Broadway Hotel, Corner Logan Road and Balaclava Streets Woolloongabba.

Parking: Parking is free and easy. This end of Logan Road still has the old school centre parking plus it’s an industrial area that shuts down on a Saturday so you won’t compete for parking spots with other businesses.

Public Transport: 10 minute walk from the Woolloongabba Busway station or else bus 174 stops right out the front.

I agree - I buy my fruit and veges every week at the Grower's Market . I keep coming back because it's so easy to park close by which means you don't have a long walk back to the car with heavy bags. I really love these markets cos you can take your time and stroll around or quickly dash in and stock up on what you need which works well when I have to get to work.

Atmosphere: Stall owners were polite - which is always appreciated, but there was no vibe. No energy drawing me to their produce. I didn't once hear anyone voice the price of their produce aloud to the attention of market-goers. 2/5
Accessability: Parking availble in the community centre, to the right of the pub and back along the roads. Very easy to get in and out 5/5
Affordability: Of Breads and pasteries - no bargains to be had. Fruit and veg is the real winner here with two meat vendors with incredibly high prices. If you're looking for something grown from Mother Earth this would be your penny saver. 4/5
A Range of Produce: Now this is where I was disappointed. I walked from one end of the markets to the other in a few minutes, I had even stopped to buy a croissant. There just wasn't enough stalls, not enough choice, variety. A market is a mishmash of guaging prices and creating bargains, not a cross-section of a grass-roots selection. 2/5

The Grower's Market: Good for a peruse on a Saturday morning but sadly not your one-stop weekly produce stop. 2.5/5
